Airthings integration to Home Assistant

Airthings integration to Home Assistant

This guide shows you how to integrate Airthings sensors to Home Assistant. It is luckily really easy, as an official integration makes use of the Airthings API.

In Home Assistant, go to Settings > Devices & Integrations > + Add integration. Search for Airthings and add the “Airthings”.

We are now presented with 2 input fields, an ID and a secret. We now have to log into the Airthings dashboard.

At the Airthings dashboard, go to Integrations > API > + Request API Client.

You only have to give it a name, description and select read:device:current_values in Resource scope, select enable and press save. Rest of the settings are default.

After saving, you are presented with an ID in the top and a ***** secret, with an eye icon next to it. Copy and paste each of these two, to the corresponding fields in the Home Assistant popup.

Devices are added successfully and can be added to the areas of your liking.

Checking out the overview, now shows the 3 Airthings sensors added as cards.
